Venkat Subramanian, President and CEO, ANGARAI featured in Maryland Governor's Office of Minority Affairs 2012 Resource Guide

Greenbelt, Maryland – Venkat Subramanian, President and CEO of ANGARAI, was featured as a "Leading MBE Executive," in a special Resource Guide published by the Daily Record on behalf of the State of Maryland Governor's Office of Minority Affairs.

Mr. Subramanian shared ANGARAI's story and "secrets of success," as a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). Mr. Subramanian was featured along with fellow MBE business leaders from the State of Maryland. Fellow MBEs included: Mr. Juan Navarro, President, Colossal Contractors, Burtonsville, MD; Randall & Sonnier, a Baltimore law firm led by partners, Kendra Randall Jolivet and Yolanda F. Sonnier; Casey Broughton Stringer, Managing member of Broughton Construction Company, LLC, Baltimore, MD and Monica Pokrywka, Vice-President of Allegany Door and Hardware, Hagerstown, MD.

As stated by Mr. Subramanian, "Being an MBE is an advantage, no doubt about that, and I'm not going to make light of it. But I don't want an agency to hire us because we are an MBE. I want them to hire us because of what we provide. The MBE part is more than just checking a box on a form. We truly want to make a difference." ANGARAI holds a monthly open house with potential MBE subcontractors. Subramanian states, "We look at what's coming in the pipeline, who has what capabilities and how we can partner."
