Job Description

ANGARAI is looking for a scrum master to oversee and guide scrum teams. The scrum master's responsibilities include ensuring that development teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Use agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions
  • Assisting with implementation of best practices for agile project management
  • Coach agile teams
  • Train, mentor, and support scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices
  • Determine and manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items
  • Provide training and guidance to the State on how to use agile/scrum practices and values
  • Schedule and facilitate scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes
  • Use Agile artifacts and conduct all Agile ceremonies
  • Leading Program Increment Planning (PI)
  • Monitor progress and performance and help teams to make improvements
  • Plan and organize demos and product/system testing
  • Ensure the proper use of collaborative processes and remove impediments for the scrum team
  • Assist in tracking Release Trains
  • Provide guidance to the Release Train to help teams adapt to the environment
  • Facilitate process improvements at the Release Train level
  • Track project processes, deliverables, and financials
  • Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assist with identifying and resolving impediments

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as a scrum master or in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Excellent people and project management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Must have one of the below certifications:
    1. PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)
      PMI-Scheduling Professional (SP)
      Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
      Advanced Certified Scrum Master(A-CSM)
      Certified Scrum Professional – ScrumMaster (CSP-SM)
      Certified SAFe Agilist
      Certified SAFe Scrum Master
      Certified SAFe Advanced Scrum Master
      Certified SAFe Government Practitioner
      Professional Scrum with Kanban
