On Monday, 28 November 2011, ANGARAI's President and CEO, Venkat Subramanian took part in an historic six-day trade mission to India. ANGARAI is part of a delegation of more than 100 Maryland business leaders, educators and elected officials led by Governor Martin O'Malley and and Prince George's County Executive, Rushern Baker for what is said to be the largest trade mission from Maryland.
Increasing two-way trade and investment and promoting Maryland as an ideal location for Indian companies looking to establish U.S. operations, particularly in life sciences, technology and aerospace and defense was the main focus for this trade mission. Governor O'Malley witnessed the signing of a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between ANGARAI and CI, an information technology company located in Chennai. Together the companies will be a driving force in the mobile and Web application sector, and in the future, will be looking towards opening an office in Maryland.
Venkat, said "ANGARAI has a great opportunity to make significant leaps with the project management, oversight and business transformation solutions that we offer by leveraging technology expertise and bandwidth which CI provides. Together, it will help us to grow thus creating more job opportunities, development and growth for our country and Maryland and Prince George's County in particular."
