CLIENT | USAITA, Pentagon - United States Department of Defense (US DOD)
OBJECTIVE | To develop a holistic program and project management delivery unit within Pentagon that encompasses the strategy, methodology, mentoring, guidance and implementation of the best practices of program and project management.
SCOPE | To do a thorough analysis of the "AS IS" of the organization maturity and the project management capability of the staff, and based on the findings provide a recommended approach for the "TO BE" project management center of excellence.
PMCE was one of the target objectives of USAITA, an administrative service organizational unit of Pentagon that embarked on business transformation activities within the Department of Defense. ANGARAI provided a holistic solution to fulfill this requirement.
ANGARAI institutionalized the project management capabilities at USAITA by introducing a structured project management discipline that had multiple components;
1. The diagnostics of the maturity level and staff capabilities of the PMO
2. Skill sets assessment and training of the managers to excel in PM discipline
3. Administration of the tools namely project portfolio management (PPM), SharePoint to transition projects from desktops to an integrated server based project repository solution and a collaborative tool.
4. Designed, developed implemented and maintained the dashboards for performance metrics and measurements.
